Explore the relationship between exercise and mental health. What is the effect of exercise on psychological and emotional well-being?
During this course, we will examine existing research dealing with the influence of physical activity on mental health and psychological well-being, as well as the potential mechanisms underlying beneficial psychological effects. This will include consideration of the role of exercise in combating stress, anxiety and depression, and enhancing mood. Topics will also include exercise in special populations.
