OSHR 1301 - Poetry and the Architecture of Our Lives

  • Noncredit
  • Fort Collins

This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

Allen Ginsberg said that poetry is "the one place where people can speak their original human mind. It is the outlet for people to say in public what is known in private." In this course, we will explore the space poetry can offer to those subjects that call for examination and illumination: identity, injustice, grief, memory, and so on.

Each week, we will endeavor to inhabit our lives and the world through readings, discussions, and guided writing exercises in the hope of expressing the architecture of our lives. New writers welcome.

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
