OSHR 1203 - Spanish for Tourists

This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

This course is designed for students with no previous knowledge of the Spanish language. It is interactive and perfect for those taking a tour to a Spanish-speaking country. In this course, students will be introduced to grammar, articles, pronouns, nouns, adjectives and verb conjugation (mostly in the present tense).

Additionally, the course will address: common travel phrases; structures for asking and answering simple questions; vocabulary and dialogue for travel assistance, hotel registration, ordering food at a restaurant, and other tourist situations. Role plays, oral practice drills, and short dialogues to practice speaking with others will be utilized throughout the course.
