Andrew Jackson was responsible for creating our modern image of the Presidency. In this course, we will examine his background and how it led him to do the things he did once he became President. We will also examine the times in which he worked, how his world influenced him, and how he influenced that world.

David McKibbin is a retired professor of history, with a Ph.D. from SUNY at Buffalo. He taught history for 15 years at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls.
