OSHR 1111 - A Trivial Glimpse into the American Entertainment Culture

This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

Through captivating lectures and fascinating audio clips, participants will learn of (and/or recall) select momentous elements of Americans’ beloved choices for entertainment in the 20th Century.

The five sessions will include: Old Radio, Early Television, Oscar-winning and Nominated Films and Film Scores, the Western Movie Genre, and Novelty Songs. Each session will feature audio and video snippets, trivia questions, and open class contribution in sharing anecdotes and reminiscing of timeless favorites.

The class will provide enjoyment and the opportunity to laugh and have fun.

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
