Put on your panama hats and khakis and get ready to explore some of the most fantastic and remarkable archaeological sites in North, Central, and South America. Gain an appreciation for the cultures of the people who lived in five ancient cities.
Learn how we know what we know about their lives, and discuss tips for those who want to travel to these sites. The cities covered include: 1) Chaco Canyon, New Mexico; 2) Teotihuacan, Mexico; 3) Copán, Honduras; 4) Tenochtitlan, Mexico; and 5) Machu Picchu, Peru.
The course will also include information on significant recent archaeological finds from other ancient cities that enrich our understanding of these marvelous cultures. Join us to uncover the riches of the past!
