This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.
Three of the unusual suspects, with three notably different viewpoints, will discuss six ancient (prior to 600 BCE) civilizations and their ongoing impacts on today’s world and on various cultures and nations. In subsequent weeks we will address 1) Mesopotamia, 2) Ancient Egypt, 3) Ancient China (Yellow River), 4) Indus Valley [India], 5) Phoenicia, 6) Ancient Greece. Each course will consist of a 30-minute stage-setting, two 30-minute appraisal and assessment sessions, and a 30-minute open discussion with questions/answers.
Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
