Trying to understand the big picture of what’s going on in the economic world? This course will provide a practical, non-political discussion of what’s occurring in the world and how it will impact you, both directly and indirectly. The recent 2014 budget and debt ceiling issues from October 2013 will be explored.
Participate in open and frank discussions of what led to economic ‘issues’ in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and the role of central banks. Interactions between economic superpowers will be stressed, and discussion will include many facts and figures. After laying an overarching framework, we will begin with the question "how did we get into the ‘Great Recession?," then move to Europe and Asia. Questions and are encouraged and welcome.
Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
