Are you fascinated by foreign societies, but too busy to travel abroad? This course offers the learning experience of travel without the hassle of a passport. Learn about distant and intriguing countries through the examination of international affairs and global issues. In partnership with the League of Women Voters of Larimer County, this course - part of the Great Decisions program - features group interactions to enhance understanding of foreign policy issues and their global impact. Discussions focus on readings and materials published by the Foreign Policy Association. Participants are encouraged to present additional research within the seminar/discussion format. Topics include:

  • Latin America‚Äôs Political Pendulum
  • Prospects for Afghanistan and Pakistan
  • Conflict in the South China Sea
  • Saudi Arabia in Transition

Reading: Great Decisions 2017 briefing book published by Foreign Policy Association. This book can be purchased at the first class from League of Women Voters. Cost: $25.
