HES 309 - Methods of Coaching

This course introduces students to the technical aspects of sport coaching including personnel relationships (players and coaches), organization and contest management, coaching ethics, evaluation of personnel, and administrative responsibilities. HES 309 offers coaching certification through the American Sport Education program.

Dr. Brian Butki is an assistant professor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State University. His research interests include exercise and mental health, "substitute addictions," obesity prevention in children and adolescents, and exercise motivation.
