Management of agency training and education programs including utilization of training and education practices, resources, facilities, and technologies. Students will be prepared to assume the role of a Training Program Manager (TPM) requiring professional knowledge and skill of training functions.

FESA 432 (Fire and Emergency Services Budgeting); FESA 433 (Fire and Emergency Human Resources).

Kevin Milan holds a PhD in Fire Service Administration & Emergency Management from Oklahoma State University. He is a past president of the Colorado Fire Training Officers Association and director for the International Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI). He holds a Chief Fire Officer (CFO) designation and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program, Milan was recognized as Colorado’s Fire Instructor of the Year in 2015, and has received outstanding research awards from the US Fire Administration. Previous related professional experience includes architectural project management and classroom teaching. With over 25 years of fire service experience, Kevin currently serves as Assistant Chief for South Metro Fire Rescue.
