EDUC 591D - Workshop: Teaching Math (in four grade bands of K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12)

With the this online course, pre-service and in-service teachers will gain a greater understanding of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Process Standards and find effective ways to apply the standards in the classroom and integrate them with content goals.

Course participants are prompted to reflect on their learning through questions and journal opportunities. This online course is offered in four version, each focusing on a specific grade band. Please select the version most applicable to your teaching position, as credit can only be earned one time.

Each course consists of six three-and-a-half hour sessions, presented entirely online through text, illustrations, animations, video programming, and interactive activities. Visit the course work requirements and the supporting website .

These educational video programs with coordinated web and text materials help teachers enhance their expertise in their fields and refine their teaching methods.
