Developing and modifying large software. Relating programming language to its machine implementation. C++ programming for experienced programmers.

Course Learning Objectives:

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • program at a professional level using the C++ programming language
  • apply memory management techniques for efficient programming
  • program with professional style and meeting common programming standards
  • demonstrate professional programming tools and testing procedures

Prerequisite

CS 165 (CS2 - Data Structures) with a grade of C or better.

Jack Applin has a BS in computer engineering from the University of Michigan and an MS in computer science from Colorado State University. He was a programmer for Hewlett-Packard for 27 years, until retiring and becoming an instructor in the Department of Computer Science at CSU in 2008. His knowledge of superhero comic books can be breathtaking.
