Ramadan received his MCS and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Colorado State University. Ramadan views teaching as a way to improve himself and the world around him. Ramadan believes that teaching is more than transmitting knowledge; it is about inspiring students to discover their purpose and potential. Ramadan is highly attentive to students’ success and devoted to their professional development. Ramadan’s teaching interests include software design and development, computer networks and security, operating systems, software testing, web development, and data analytics.

Dr. Butler is certified a Project Management Professional (PMP). Dr. Butler teaches and conducts research in information technology (IT) and collaborates with information technology managers in developing improved IT management strategies and processes, software development methodologies, and metrics and quality assurance for traditional and object software. For eighteen years, he served in the role of Chief Software Scientist for McCabe & Associates in Columbia, Maryland and completed consulting engagements in over fifty Fortune 500 companies. As McCabe’s Chief Software Scientist, he served as an expert witness in software litigation trials. He also worked with Texaco, Inc and Star Enterprise for over twenty years on internal process improvement projects for the IT department.

Dr. Vijayasarathy joined Colorado State University in 2000 after academic appointments at Barry University and North Dakota State University, where he also served as the Coordinator of MIS. His research on the development, use and consequences of information systems has been published in Electronic Markets, European Journal of Information Systems, IEEE Software, IEEE Transactions on Professional Communications, Information & Management, Internet Research, Information and Software Technology, International Journal of Production Economics, and Journal of Management Information Systems. He enjoys helping students learn software development tools and technologies, and mentoring them on their projects and theses.
