Advanced and Specialist Topics
These courses are designed for veterinary specialists, veterinary residents in training, and practitioners with an in-depth interest in a specific discipline. Veterinary residents in training would typically take the full 45-hour course. However, modules of the course pertaining to a particular area which may be anywhere from three to 15 hours in length can be taken individually. The modules offer a flexible approach for specialist veterinarians who want to focus on a single area.
Instructor Interaction
Courses are offered in "real-time" which means the lectures are viewed online as they are recorded from on-campus sessions. To fully participate in each course or module, you need to register before the start date. For students enrolling in the full course, it is strongly encouraged to take the mid-term and final examinations, which are offered and graded online.
After registering and logging into the online course, you will be able to interact with the instructor and other course participants. If you register for a module after it been taught in “real-time,” you will have full access to all the materials, but the online discussions will no longer be active.
