Alina M. Waite, Ph.D.

Alina Waite, OPC FacultyAlina M. Waite is an Assistant Professor in the Organizational Performance and Change program at Colorado State University where she teaches Performance Consulting and Causal Analysis, Analysis in Organizations, Action Research, Intervention Strategies, and Learning Transfer. Alina earned her Ph.D. degree in the OPC program at CSU in 2008. The subject of her dissertation was on process improvement, which involved performance improvement, relationship and process mapping, and analysis. Alina's other areas of research and professional interests include performance management, team development, and technical innovation.

Alina has over 15 years of experience working in the health care industry and has served in a variety of leadership capacities both in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to moving to Colorado to pursue her Ph.D. degree, she was the Director of Research and Development of an international organization specializing in the design, development, and manufacture of medical devices.

Alina earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with a Biomedical Engineering option from the University of New Mexico and a M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. During her undergraduate and graduate studies, Alina worked as a research assistant in the Department of Anatomy, UNM School of Medicine and the Department of Orthopedic Research, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, respectively.
