Master of Agriculture (M.Agr.)

Integrated Resource Management (M.Agr.)

How to Apply

Before applying to the degree program, it is strongly recommended that you contact the academic adviser (information listed on the left of this page) well in advance of the application deadline to understand and fulfill all requirements.

Minimum Admission Requirements

The Integrated Resource Management (M.Agr.) degree requires applicants to have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on all undergraduate coursework.

Note that meeting the minimum department standards does not ensure admission to the program. Admission to Colorado State University graduate programs is based on a number of factors, including prior academic and professional experience and the personal statement.

Before your application for graduate study is considered, all application materials must be received by the department.

Step 1 – Apply Online

  • Complete the online graduate application form and pay the $50 application fee (payable online with a major credit card).
    • Select “Agricultural Sci MAGR/Integrtd Res Mgmt - Distance” when choosing the program of study.

Step 2 – Submit Application Materials

  1. Three Letters of Recommendation
Recommendation letters should come from faculty and professional associates who can speak to your ability to complete graduate study. Writers of your letters of recommendation should send them directly to Dr. Kraig Peel.
  2. Official Transcript
Include one official transcript of all collegiate work completed from every institution attended, whether or not you received a degree from those institutions. Transcripts from Colorado State University are not required. We accept electronic transcripts, if the originating institution offers that option. Transcripts should be sent directly to Dr. Kraig Peel.
  3. Resume or Vita
Upload this document with your online Graduate School application. It must contain:
    • Record of all education and training, including names of institutions, periods of attendance, and degree earned.
    • Record of all professional employment including dates of service (including military).
    • List of any special skills or competencies (including certifications and licensures).
    • List of publications, exhibitions, prizes, awards, or other recognition.
    • List of service activities (including community and charitable)
  4. Statement of Purpose
Upload this document as part of your online Graduate School application. The statement of purpose is typically 1-2 pages and briefly describes:
    • Your background.
    • Your educational goals and leadership potential.
    • Your research interests and experience.
    • Why you are a good fit in the program.
    • Motivation for pursuing graduate work in integrated resource management.

International Applicants Only

Include the following items in addition to those listed above:

  • Official Transcript
Ensure official copies include a certified translation into English (only one set of transcripts is required).
  • Official TOEFL Scores
Submit official TOEFL scores through the Educational Testing Service (select institution code: 4075). In general, all applicants from countries in which English is not the official language, and who do not have an undergraduate degree from a country in which the official language is English (Canada, U.K., Australia, USA, New Zealand, etc.) must submit TOEFL scores. The minimum score for applicants is 550 (213 on the computer-based test). The TOEFL may be waived for applicants who have been working in the United States for several years.
  • Proof of Financial Support
Submit the GS3-F Form to show evidence of adequate financial support as required before an immigration document can be issued by Colorado State University.
