Adult Education and Training (M.Ed.)

What Our Students Say

The AET professors were always so willing to allow students to tailor assignments for their personal needs. For instance, I used my past experience as a high school English teacher to create units and courses designed for adult audiences at the community college and continuing education level. This freedom to build on past experience or current circumstances allows students to learn the concepts more deeply.

– Kristina Bruton, AET Graduate

Life has a way of opening doors when we're truly seeking avenues of change and improvement. Finding the AET program, discussing courses and possibilities right up front with an adviser, and enrolling with confidence that I'd made a great choice led to amazing opportunities during school and, now, in the higher education workforce.

– Susan Pence

The focus and convenience of the M.Ed. in Adult Education and Training were perfect for my goals. I am not an educator by trade, but CSU allowed me to expand my horizons in the adult education field. I believe that education is a process of maturing and growth that we each must approach in our individual way to ensure the biggest impact and best results. By listening to my own heart, I have found my inner passion — teaching adults at the post-secondary and noncredit corporate and professional levels.

– Mark Moore, AET Graduate

I am a non-traditional student who earned my undergraduate degree some years back at the same time my two children were enrolled in college. The online delivery format of the AET program was a good match for me, and I highly recommend the program. Time flew as I progressed through the classes with the help of a great counselor, knowledgeable faculty and interesting, challenging and fulfilling classes. Earning my master's degree has enabled me to teach a wider variety of classes at Pikes Peak Community College.

– Sandra Bailey, AET Graduate
