Jeffrey Foley, Ph.D.
Dr. Jeffrey M. Foley is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Colorado State University. After attending CSU and earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, Jeff spent 20 years as an outdoor educator, mountain guide, and emergency services technician. Jeff earned a Master of Arts in the Adult Education and Training program from CSU. During this time Jeff served as an adjunct instructor and program coordinator in the Outdoor Studies program at Colorado Mountain College. Jeff completed his Ph.D. in education at CSU.
Jeff currently instructs for the Adult Education and Training program facilitating the exploration of:
- adult learning theory
- adult teaching theory and facilitation processes and methods
- training design and evaluation
- the psychology of learning and learning transfer
- and leadership development
Jeff's research interests include:
- experiential teaching and learning
- adult learner self-world view
- assessment and evaluation
- and leadership
Jeff has presented at conferences on subjects such as measuring learning outcomes of students engaged in experiential education and assessment of learning retention of experiential learners.
