This course is offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Colorado State University. You must be a member of Osher to enroll in this course.

Come enjoy film and stimulating discussion of cinema in the quaint and comfortable ambiance of the Lyric Cinema Café. You will watch movies with storylines and observe film¬making techniques that vary from the standard studio fare. After each cinematic adventure, come together with fellow Osher participants for intriguing discussion of these thought-evoking films.

Please Note: Movies may be subtitled and carry various ratings.

Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.

Joannah L. Merriman, M.A., is a community educator, writer, and psychotherapist. She is happy to be returning as facilitator for Cinema du Jour this semester. A life-time film enthusiast, she enjoys lively discussions with like-minded movie-goers, and always makes sure she has the most recent edition of Video Hound’s Golden Movie Retriever, her favorite film reference book, in her own home theater.
