Examine the history, geography, culture, economics and politics of Vietnam, one of the dynamic "tigers" of today’s Southeast Asia.
Explore the deeply intertwined relations between the
United States and Vietnam as well as Vietnam’s global presence and international impact. To expand your knowledge base, you will receive a list of relevant fi lms and novels.
You may also opt to enjoy a Vietnamese meal during one class time frame to experience the cuisine and continue informal discussion.

Instructors
John Roberts was resident in the Solomon Islands for three years as Peace Corps Country Director. He is a retired Foreign Service Officer, having worked in 19 different countries and then taught International Studies at CSU for ten years. This will be his sixth Osher course offering.
