Three credits of 100-level biology or HORT 100 (Horticultural Science); three credits of 100-level mathematics. Credit allowed for only one of the following: LIFE 320, LAND 220, LIFE 220, SOCR 220.

Description

Interrelationships among organisms and their environments.

This course meets the All-University Core Curriculum (AUCC) requirements for Biological/Physical Sciences (Category 3A) and is approved under gtPathways in the content area of Natural and Physical Sciences without Lab (GT-SC2).

Originally from Olney, Illinois, Dr. Miller attended Purdue University from 1982 to 1986 and received a B.S. degree in agronomy. He began his working career at Walt Disney World, The Land at EPCOT Center, in 1986 as a greenhouse intern. Returning to college after working for a time, he received his M.S. degree in agronomy from Texas A&M University in 1989. He then relocated from Texas to California where he was employed by a crop protection company. Returning to school again after several years, he studied weed science at Colorado State University and received his doctorate in 1998. Dr. Miller is currently pursuing a graduate degree in education at Colorado State.
