GSLL 2050 - Essentials of Biochemistry for Exercise Science

This course gives students interested in exercise science essential knowledge of biochemistry in the context of human metabolism; this knowledge serves as the basis for further study of metabolism as it pertains to exercise energetics.
The course is designed for those pursuing a Master of Science degree in Health and Exercise Science at CSU. It fulfills the undergraduate biochemistry prerequisite requirement for entry into this specific graduate program, and covers the essentials of biochemistry as it applies to metabolism for physical activity.
This is a self-study noncredit online course. It is equivalent in scope to a 3 credit course, and must be completed within a 12-week period. Students should be prepared to dedicate 12 hours per week to completing the course requirements.
Noncredit courses do not produce academic credit nor appear on a Colorado State University academic transcript.
