Many teachers hesitate to teach science through inquiry because they did not learn this way themselves, either as students or during their preparation to become teachers. This workshop demonstrates inquiry teaching and learning in real classrooms, helping participants to understand the process and how it benefits students. It also provides strategies to incorporate inquiry learning in the classroom for teachers who have already experimented with inquiry teaching and want to enhance their practice or are new to the approach and want to know how to make it work.
This video workshop for K-8 teachers consists of eight one-hour video programs and an online workshop guide. Review the course work requirements and the supporting website for more information.
