Project Management Certificate
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any prerequisites for the Project Management Certificate?
There are no specific prerequisites for the Project Management Certificate; however, it is helpful if students have some experience managing or working on projects as a part of their work.
Will the course prepare me for the Project Management Professional (PMP®) examination?
This course follows A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide)* and helps to prepare students for the Project Management Professional (PMP®) exam, offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI). As a prerequisite for the exam, PMI requires students to have completed at least 35 hours of project management education in a PMI-approved program. Our comprehensive course is 54 hours of project management education, so it more-than fulfills that requirement. All of the instructors in the program are PMP®-certified and all work as project managers, so the instruction is of the highest quality.
Does this course include the PMP® exam as part of the tuition?
No, the PMP® exam is administered by the Project Management Institute (PMI). To find out more about the exam, please visit www.pmi.org.
If I do not plan to take the PMP® exam, is the course still a good option if I am interested in Project Management?
Even if you do not plan to take the PMP® exam, this program is an outstanding way to improve your ability to manage projects at work. Our instructors work in the industry as Project Managers, and they bring valuable real-world knowledge and instruction into the classroom.
What will I receive at the end of the program?
Upon successful completion of the course, you receive a certificate showing that you have completed 54 Professional Development Units (PDUs) in a PMI-approved course.
